Loving and Respecting the Elderly People in Our Lives

Inside Santos Guardiola

It used to be that the elders were the most revered members of any community, tribe or family.Elderly woman looking at camera

The elderly in our lives were held in high esteem and they were often sought out for advice about love, marriage, home remedies for illnesses and life itself.ElderlyAsian woman watching her grandson riding his bike

As important members of our families, old folk were not only a source of advice and guidance, but they also helped raise our children.

Do it today!

Let us not put off for tomorrow what we need to do today. A job not done, putting off visit to see an ailing loved one, a missed call from someone on the edge we did not call back, a prayer not whispered, a quote or application not sent out may cost us or someone a lot.
It may cost us a deal, a job, a miracle, a loved one or just anything important!
Opportunities sure always don’t wait for us…
No wonder God’s Word says..
Hebrews 3:15 “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”
Hebrews 3:13 “But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,”
Someone said…
“Opportunities are like morning dew. To catch one, you have wake up early while the world is busy sleeping.”
Let us not to miss any opportunity today to act, send, visit, bless, call, pray etc…if we miss it, it will dry up like the dew we see in the morning and soon gone!
Be blessed,
Julia

The Light of our house ‘ALWAYS’ on….:)

“The Light of our house always on” because Jesus Christ our Lord lives in there!
Even as we go to sleep He sits beside and watches over us because He never slumbers or sleeps.
He watches over each of His children….
Where He abides, His love abides…
Good Night,
Julia

Count your blessings….

” Faith is putting all your eggs in God’s basket, then counting your blessings before they hatch.”
(Ramona C. Carroll)
” Let God’s promises shine on your problems.”
” Prayer should be the key of the day and the lock of the night.”
Let us count our blessings, talk to God as we go to bed.
Good Night

Shine through the dark…

Good morning!
No matter how dark, grim, diffficult, confusing, the situation around is we can choose to be strong, rejoice and be glad.
Let us shine on this day, our very presence in this dark world can make a difference not because of who we are but because of Who we belong to!
May Jesus Christ our Lord shine through us!
Have a blessed day,
Julia

God sees and He hears

Our tears, pain, suffering never goes unnoticed by our God. People may fail to notice our tear, feel our pain, understand our suffering but God sure does!
Even our slightest sigh He notices and He keeps a record of every single, genuine tear drop!
When we are in any helpless, desperate situation, let us continue to hope in the Lord.
He will come and rescue, heal, redeem us!
His very presence is all we need!
“The Lord will not reject forever, fot if He cause grief, Then He will have compassion, according to His lovingkindness.”-Lamentations 3:31-32
Have a blessed day,

Things of worth don’t come easy…

Important things do not come easy in life…
Salvation is received for free but we need to work it out(which needs great effort) with fear and trembling.
(Philippians 2:12″….—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,”)
We are to exercise our self towards godliness to grow spiritually.
(1 Timothy 4:7″ “… train yourself to be godly.)
Our Lord desires we enjoy good health too..
(3 John 1:2, “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well) so we need to eat right, work out, avoid junk food, walk etc.
God’s Word says we are to discipline our body and bring it into subjection (this too involves effort)
(1 Corinthians 9:27, “But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection)
All hard work brings a profit,
(Proverbs 14:23 “In all labor there is profit, But idle chatter leads only to poverty.”)
Have a blessed day….

Bear each other’s burdens….

Hi..

Sometimes when we are surrounded by problems and walking thro’ the storm, we fail to see the cares, the pains the trials and testings people around us are in.
Or may be everything is going well and right with us and for us that we fail to see that there are people around us struggling.
Here God asks us to bear each others burdens.
The least we can do for others is pray and speak few words of encouragement.
May we always do that….!..
In Christ,
Julia
